The 2025 Canadian Elite Champion Trophy was awarded at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships in Brockville, ON, on August 24, 2025 to ANNIand her very proud handlers Kim, Chip and Courtney Ross. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
How the Elite Champion is calculated.
This award recognizes the dog who can do it all!!! It was created to highlight those dogs who compete in all 4 Canine Watersports Canada disciplines . . . . . Jump, Toss, Grab, and Lure. The Elite Champion is based entirely on how well you do in Jump, Lure, Toss and Grab at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships. Points are awarded for every successful Jump, Lure, Toss and Grab. Those points are tallied at the end of the event to determine the Canine Watersports Canada Elite Championwas created to recognize the dog who can do it all!! It is based entirely on how well your dog does in ALL 4 Canine Watersports Canada disciplines. Points are awarded according to your placement in Jump, Lure, Toss and Grab.. ELITE POINTS FOR JUMP ALL 1st place = 15 points ALL 2nd place = 10 points ALL 3rd place = 5 points
ELITE POINTS FOR TOSS ALL Top Dog (1st, 2nd & 3rd) = 60 points ALL Senior (1st, 2nd & 3rd) = 40 points ALL Novice (1st, 2nd & 3rd) = 20 points
ELITE POINTS FOR GRAB ALL 1st place = 35 points ALL 2nd place = 25 points ALL 3rd place = 15 points
ELITE POINTS FOR GRAB ALL 1st place = 35 points ALL 2nd place = 25 points ALL 3rd place = 15 points
PLEASE NOTE: In order to qualify for the Elite Dog Champion, dogs must have a title in Elite Dog. To earn a title you must have successfully participated in Elite Dog during twice during the current season, as well as competed 5 times in the same division in Jump.
*As ELITE CHAMPION, Canine Watersports Canada will cover all entries to all REGULAR CWC events - as the recipient of FREE entries, you must tag CWC on ALL social media posts you make during the season that you are Elite Champion.
