The Championships take place in Brockville, ON, once a year and they usually take place on the 3rd weekend in August. Our current season ends and our next season begins when they are over.
How do I qualify to compete at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships? The only requirement is a 2026 Title in each discipline you would like to compete in at the 2026 Championships.
What do I need to do to get a 2026 title? Five (5) legs in the SAME DIVISION are required to EARN a Jump Title. Successfully competing and earning a score in Toss, Grab or Lure at 1 event during the CURRENT SEASON will also earn a Title. An Elite Dog title is issued to those who compete successfully in Toss, Grab & Lure at 2 regular CWC events Please note that participating in finals or placing DOES NOT count towards a title.
How do I become Canada's 2025 Elite Champion? Elite Champion is only available at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships and is awarded to the dog who can do it all! Dogs MUST compete and earn scores in Elite Dog at 2 regular CWC events and have a jump title. The scoring system for the Elite Champion is based on how the dog places in each of the 4 disciplines (Jump, Toss, Grab & Lure) at the Championships...please note that 1st in Novice will get the same number of points that 1st in Top Dog will earn).
In order to qualify for the Elite Dog Champion, dogs must have a title in Elite Dog. To earn a title you must have successfully participated in Elite Dog during twice during the current season, as well as a JUMP title (competed 5 times in the same division in Jump).
*PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST ENTER A MINIMUM OF 3 JUMPS TO COMPETE AT THE CANADIAN DOCK JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS*
**WILDCARDS** We will be awarding 5 WILDCARDS to those who we feel worked hard all season, and really want to compete, but unfortunately did not qualify for the Championships!
