How the Elite Champion is calculated.
This award recognizes the dog who can do it all!!! It was created to highlight those dogs who compete in all 4 Canine Watersports Canada disciplines . . . . . Jump, Toss, Grab, and Lure. The Elite Champion is based entirely on how well you do in Jump, Lure, Toss and Grab at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships. Points are awarded for every successful Jump, Lure, Toss and Grab. Those points are tallied at the end of the event to determine the Canine Watersports Canada Elite Champion!
PLEASE NOTE: In order to qualify for the Elite Dog Champion, dogs must have a title in Elite Dog. To earn a title you must have successfully participated in Elite Dog during twice during the current season, as well as competed 5 times in the same division in Jump.
The Elite Champion is presented at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships in Brockville in August ONLY.
