Canadian Dock Jumping Championships August 23rd, 24th & 25th - Brockville, ON. Registration will open July 23rd.
The Canadian Dock Jumping Championships are held in Centennial (Hardy) Park in Brockville, Ontario from August 23rd – 25th. This year we are very proud to announce that, Canine Watersports Canada has been invited to participate in The First Annual Big River Festival in Brockville. ON. Canine Watersports Canada is wet, wild, and most of all, wonderfully wholesome entertainment for every member of the family. A typical event features a dog-and-handler team atop a 36-foot dock, adjacent a 45-foot-long pool filled with water. Dogs flythrough the air and land in the water with a dramatic—and occasionally audience-drenching—splash, after which the longest jumper is deemed the winner in several disciplines and divisions. During the weekend, we will feature the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships, which highlights and reward those teams who have worked hard all season to become eligible to compete with the best in their division. Throughout the event we will be awarding the top 3 in each discipline, with beautiful jade maple leaf trophies, as well as rosettes. On Sunday we will be crowning CANADA'S 2019 ELITE CHAMPION – otherwise known as “the dog who can do it all”!!! For those of you who would like to bring your dog to this event and give dock jumping a TRY, our dock will be open to you at specific times throughout the entire weekend! You don't want to miss these three days of dramatic competition showcasing the speed and athleticism of the dogs. Compounded with the pounding music, the emcee’s introductions, a myriad of vendors, and incredible food trucks the Championships promise to be an invigorating atmosphere of wholesome fun for the whole family. So, grab your kids and your dogs and head down to The Big River Festival in Brockville between August 23rd – 25th, 2019!

"We Serve" The Brockville Lions Club has been in service since 1939. We serve our community while raising funds both locally and internationally for worthy causes including Hunger, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, the Environment and Vision. Lions are known throughout the world for their work to improve the lives of the visually impaired and prevent avoidable blindness. One such initiative is the annual Dog Guide walk. This walk raises much needed funds for the training of Dog Guides which are provided at no cost to qualified applicants. Thanks to national sponsors, such as Pet Valu, 100% of the funds raised from the Walk go directly to the Dog Guide training programs. This year, the Dog Guide walk will take place on August 25th at Hardy Park. The Lions Club will have a booth at the Canadian Dock Jumping Championships for those who wish to learn more about the Lions, the walk, participate or donate.
